I had the great pleasure of interviewing Peggy Daniels, currently serving as the Interim Head of School at Carolina Day School in Asheville, NC. Peggy has four decades of experience in education during which time she has proven to be an incredible leader and innovator. Peggy has been both a Middle and Upper School Principal and has stepped in as a Head of School on two different occasions. During her time in leadership at Carolina Day, the school has adopted numerous innovative approaches to education including Orton-Gillingham for language instruction, inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, experiential learning, and social-emotional proficiency. The school continues to evolve it’s teaching and assessment methods under her leadership.
