Bill McLean has been in the insurance industry for nearly 30 years. His grandfather started McLean Insurance in Western NC in the 1920’s. McLean Insurance merged with 3 other large firms to form Hutton, Vincent, Williamson and McLean in 2000. In 2008 the partners sold the business to Bankers Insurance and continue to work for the company as insurance brokers.

Prodigal Farm has a goat herd, and with its licensed cheese dairy facility, makes delicious goat cheese. They also work their productive garden and make bread, preserves, and other food products.
