Jonathan Yarbrough (Jon), Partner of Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP in Asheville, North Carolina shares (MP3 file below) his employment law advice for business startups including stories related to the mistakes and issues he’s encountered with startup businesses. Jon stresses, multiple times during the interview, that founders need to understand and pay attention to wage and hours regulations to help prevent major law suits in the future.

1. Please, tell me a little bit about the Arris Partners Company.
We are a boutique recruiting firm that is focused on three different industries. The first, agriculture practice. Then life sciences, which is pharma. And then private equity-backed manufacturing companies. Those are our three practice areas. And we are essentially more of a manager to C-Suite Recruiting Company.
