I had the pleasure of sitting down with Melissa Daugherty, a freelance marketing consultant based in Kentucky who specializes in helping small businesses build effective, budget-friendly marketing strategies. With years of hands-on experience navigating the unique challenges small businesses face, Melissa brings a practical, no-nonsense approach to social media, content marketing, and brand development.
In our conversation, Melissa shared how she found her way into the marketing industry, the lessons she’s learned from working with business owners of all budget sizes, and some of the biggest mistakes small businesses make when trying to manage their marketing on their own. I had the chance to interview Dr. Carentz. He is the owner and founder of a new non-profit coffee business (Rhema Cafe) here in Landstuhl Germany that teams up with 50 different locals organizations that utilize the shop’s extra space from everything from AIDS counseling to removing sex-trafficked women from brothels that his organization does directly. All of the workers at the coffee shop are volunteers and they support faith and non-faith organizations that help the community.
