Jordan_Audrey_ENT650_SME Interview Cameron Chancy

Published by:

Hi everyone,

Cameron Chancy who is the Director of Accounting for Sampson Regional Medical Center completed my SME interview for ENT650. Cameron answered the questions I presented to her prior to our phone conversation. I had the pleasure of talking with Cameron via phone to learn more about the importance of financing and what it takes for a business to survive. As Cameron explained, it is best to come up with a business plan in writing and constantly research to ensure you are making the best business decisions. Please see the interview question responses from Cameron Chancy below. I look forward to any feedback/comments you may have.

Jordan_Audrey_ENT610_SME Interview_Amy Stone

Published by:

I completed my interview with Amy Stone on April 06, 2020. Amy provided some excellent information as it relates to the importance of human resources being able to find the necessary people for each job. While most people often associated human resources with the hiring and firing process, human resources also must know relevant policies in addition to finding the right people. I find it amazing that Amy is interested in employee relations to better understand any problems that arise and how to address those problems. Through this interview, it demonstrates the importance of employees in the workplace and strategies that can be incorporated. This interview is only audio format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  I look forward to any comments/feedback that you may have and hope you are able to learn from this interview.

Jordan_Audrey_ENT601_SME Interview Kelly Lucas CIO

Published by:

Hi everyone!

I had an opportunity to interview Kelly Lucas, CIO at Sampson Regional Medical Center. While this interview turned out to be somewhat lengthy (I had to compress and separate into two videos) Kelly Lucas has provided a lot of insight as to what it takes to be a leader and a great CIO. Kelly goes on to explain the obstacles that we learn to overcome. The comparisons that Kelly uses to better explain real life situations are excellent scenarios. What I found interesting is that no matter what job you have everyone must work as a team in order to be successful much like entrepreneurs. While that one individual has an idea it takes a whole team to accomplish that idea. I worked on editing this clip to see about taking some parts out of it, I was not able to do so without compromising the entire interview (i.e. the phone ringing). I know that everyone will learn a substantial amount of useful information from this interview. I even learned more about the IT field that I did not know along with useful skills.
