ENT 610 Classmate Interview with Gregory Williams- Director of Equity Initiatives, NYC Department of Social Services

Hi Everyone,

It was an exciting time interviewing Gregory Williams while he shared some of his experiences as a media personality and as an entrepreneur.

Gregory Williams is the Director of Gender Equity Initiatives for the New York City Department of Social Services. He oversees the management and development of programs for DSS-HRA-DHS staff. Furthermore, he negotiates and influences others to understand and accept new gender equity concepts, practices, and approaches.

He has over two decades of marketing and public relations experience, including extensive knowledge of brand placement and promotion, television production, photojournalism, and videography. He also served in the military for thirteen (13) years, specializing in public affairs, civil affairs, and transportation management. Two combat tours and numerous overseas missions were completed.

Gregory is an eloquent strategic communicator with experience dealing with interagency and senior international officials.

Dolapo holds a B.SC (Hons) Mass Communication, from the University of Lagos, an MBA in Marketing Strategy from the Global Business University Europe, and is an alumnus of the fast-rising Tekedia Institute mini-MBA program. She is currently a member of the 2024 Class of Masters in Innovation Leadership from Western Carolina University, North Carolina, USA.
